We investigate: What are those mysterious signs along residential Staten Island block?

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — An Advance/SILive.com reporter’s investigation into mysterious street signs has led to a city map, which indicates a new street-widening project is planned for a residential block in West Brighton.

The New York City Property Information Portal map shows what appears to be work planned for a section of North St. Austin’s Place, between Davis and Bard avenues.

The Department of Transportation did not immediately return a request for comment Friday in regard to further details or a possible timeline of a project.
