Pennsylvania officials announced Monday that a second daily Pennsylvanian train between New York City and Pittsburgh, traveling through Harrisburg, is expected to begin operating in mid-November.
Gov. Josh Shapiro and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Secretary Mike Carroll said the expanded service follows coordination with Amtrak and Norfolk Southern. The Shapiro administration has invested more than $80 million in the rail expansion, with construction projects already underway or completed.
