Islands in the Park: A Caribbean Jam will take over Prospect Park on Sep. 6., bringing Caribbean cuisines from across the islands, live steel pan performances, arts and crafts and a DJ to keep the dancing going.

The event presented by Smorgasburg and the organization I am CaribBeing will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. the day before Labor Day.
Along with regular Smorgasburg vendors, guests will be able to enjoy food from special guest businesses such as
- 2 Girls & a Cookshop, known for their Jamaican Tacos
- Wah Gwaan, a Jamaican taqueria
- Dylana’s Sweet Treats, known for Trinidadian-inspired bread and banana puddings
- Rolle Drinks, known for drinks with Caribbean flair including coconut water and sugarcane flavors
- Tanty Darlene’s Kitchen, which brings popular Trinidadian dishes
- Coco Bred, known for putting a new-aged spin on the Jamaican classic coco bread
- Tosh’s Patties, known for their classic Jamaican patties
- Hibiscus Brew Cafe, known for Caribbean-inspired drinks and treats with sorrel flavors
