The officers followed the suspect onto the train platform and repeatedly asked the suspect to stop, officials said.

The suspect allegedly told the officers, “I am going to kill you if you don’t stop following me.”

Officials said during the standoff, a northbound train pulled into the subway station, and the suspect jumped onto the train. The two officers deployed their Tasers, but they were not effective, police said.

The suspect then jumped off the train, pulled out a knife, and charged at the officers, according to sources.

The two officers discharged their service guns and fired multiple rounds. They were able to handcuff the suspect.
