The Jersey City Rent Protection Special Investigation Committee honed in on seeking answers on rent control enforcement, specially related to municipal code Chapter 260, at yesterday’s two-and-a-half hour meeting.
“How is Chapter 260 being proactively enforced?” Ward D Councilman Jake Ephros asked.
Housing Preservation Director Shyrone Richardson, who oversees the Office of Landlord/Tenant Relations, said they enforce the code to the best of their abilities.
