Rock-Hurling Burglar Shatters Park Slope Door in 3 A.M. Break-In

Police are hunting for a man caught on camera hurling a rock through the glass of a Park Slope building and slipping inside in the middle of the night. The break-in happened in front of 422 7th Avenue at about 3:33 a.m. on Thursday, when the suspect smashed the left-side glass of a front door, reached in to unlock it and walked into the building, according to authorities. He has been labeled wanted for burglary, and investigators are asking anyone who recognizes him to come forward.

The short reel shared by police captures the whole sequence: the man walks up to the entrance, the left pane of glass suddenly shatters, and a hand reaches through to pop the lock before he disappears inside.
