A 25-year-old man was assaulted and robbed on a northbound 5 train at the Church Avenue station on Wednesday, April 29, at about 5:35 p.m., according to police. Investigators say three unidentified people approached him on the train, punched him multiple times and grabbed his backpack before fleeing on foot, heading southbound on Nostrand Avenue. No arrests have been announced.
As posted by NYPD Crime Stoppers, the department shared a wanted bulletin on May 5 that includes still images and a short description of the suspects. The alert urges anyone with information to call 1-800-577-TIPS or message @NYPDTips, and asks tipsters to share photos, video or any other leads that could help identify the three people seen in the footage.
