Buffalo teenager pleads guilty to first-degree manslaughter

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo teenager pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree manslaughter after assaulting and killing an elderly man on Buffalo’s West Side, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday.

Police responded to the area of Parkdale and Forest Avenues on May 4, 2025 around 5:45 p.m. after receiving a 911 call from a witness reporting the assault. Officials said the suspect, who was age 16 at the time, kicked and stomped the victim in the head multiple times, causing him to fall to the ground. Police identified the victim as 88-year-old Andrew Krawczuk.

Officers took the suspect into custody near a Baynes Street residence. Krawczuk was transported to ECMC, where he died from his injuries on June 2, 2025…
