Buffalo teen pleads guilty for fatal assault of elderly man

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) – A Buffalo teen has pleaded guilty for his role in the fatal assault of an elderly man in the city’s West Side neighborhood nearly 13 months ago.

The 17-year-old, who was 16 at the time of the homicide, pled guilty to one count of Manslaughter in the First Degree (Class “B” violent felony). The adolescent offender entered a guilty plea to the highest sustainable charge and sole count of the indictment he faced.

It was on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at approximately 5:45 p.m. when Buffalo police were dispatched after receiving a 9-1-1 call from a witness who saw the assault take place near the corner of Parkdale Avenue and Forest Avenue.
