Buffalo Mayor Sean Ryan, on Tuesday, unveiled more than $400,000 in funding for the city’s animal shelter.
The new $412,000 in funding will allow the shelter to hire new full-time positions, as well as install a new HVAC system, flooring, kennels, soundproofing technology and a new outdoor recreation area for animals.
“These changes will help us provide a better environment for the animals in our care while giving staff and volunteers the tools and facilities they need to do their jobs effectively,” Ryan said. “This is an important step forward as we continue working to improve the shelter and build a better future for Buffalo’s animals.”…
