In April, I posted that Gather & Game – a prized game store and community hub – was relocating (and supersizing) from Grant Street to Amherst Street. I am happy to report that owners, Jeanenne and Joe Petri, have officially opened their new location, to great fanfare.Already, the gaming community is abuzz, as the doors to the 9000 SF store have been unlocked. Inside, gamers have found a world of wonders, bit downstairs and upstairs along the sprawling mezzanine.
What began as a small shop on Grant Street called Westside Stories, has now become a full fledge game central, with a large first floor retail component, and a top level space dedicated to game tables and play space.
We did it! We’re in the new space. Thanks to all of you who came out of the soft opening this weekend, we were just overwhelmed with the response and all the positive feedback. And thanks to everyone who posted pictures of the space to spread the word.
