BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The roar of motorcycles echoed through Downtown Buffalo Sunday as riders gathered outside Chef’s restaurant for the annual Louis J. Billittier Foundation Motorcycle Poker Run.
The foundation was created by Lou Billittier Jr., his sister, and their late mother, following Louis’ passing in 2000.
“I saw the impact my dad had on the community over the years, and once he passed, I said, you know, someone’s got to sort of pick up the ball and keep it going because there’s just not enough people out there helping the community,” Billittier said. “We wanted to kind of keep that legacy alive, and we’ve had charity golf tournaments, we do meat raffles, but the motorcycle thing was kind of, I had been riding forever, so, I said, let’s do a motorcycle run, and it’s really grown over the years.”…
