Judge orders competency exam for man accused of killing 4

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A judge ordered a competency exam Monday for a man accused of killing his wife and two children at their Cheektowaga home on June 1 and then killing a store clerk.

Saleh Mohamed, 29, was arraigned on three counts of first-degree murder and four counts of second-degree murder for the alleged killings. His wife was identified as 26-year-old Aaisha Abdulla and the store clerk was identified as 43-year-old Shukri Muthana.

His defense attorney entered a not guilty plea on his behalf and requested the competency exam — which was then ordered by Judge Deborah Haendiges. Competency exams take around three weeks to process…
