Severe Thunderstorms In The Forecast For Parts Of New York

Most of New York state is soaking up some major heat this week, and soon we will be soaking up some rain to go with it.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For Parts Of New York

Today, the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch for parts of New York and Vermont. They’re expecting some isolated hail that could be as big as a quarter, lightning, and some heavy wind. The storms could bring gusts that could peak around 70 MPH.

At 5:45 PM the strong to possibly severe thunderstorms are trucking, moving SE at 40 to 45 mph. They may contain damaging winds and I would advise all boat voters on both lakes to return to Port at once. We’ll see what the strong Lake Erie breeze will do pic.twitter.com/BMXCqjiREO
