Buffalo man pleads guilty to killing woman in Cybertruck hit-and-run

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man pleaded guilty on Thursday for killing a pedestrian with a Cybertruck during a hit-and-run on William Street in July 2025, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said.

Wendell M. Brooks, 45, pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter, leaving the scene of an incident without reporting resulting in death, and tampering with physical evidence.
