BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man pleaded guilty on Thursday for killing a pedestrian with a Cybertruck during a hit-and-run on William Street in July 2025, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said.
Wendell M. Brooks, 45, pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter, leaving the scene of an incident without reporting resulting in death, and tampering with physical evidence.
Brooks was driving the Cybertruck on William Street around 10 p.m. on July 17, 2025, when he struck and killed 37-year-old Paache Spikes-Redding at the intersection of William Street and Benzinger Street, officials said. Spikes-Redding was pronounced dead at the scene…
