Finally, Real Argentinian Food Has Landed on Buffalo’s West Side

Let’s be real: Finding authentic Argentinian food in Buffalo has been a struggle. So, when pictures of gorgeous empanadas started popping up in our feeds, we (Step Out Buffalo, your guide to the best food, events, and hidden gems across WNY 😉) took notice. Enter Tangos 716, a new Argentinian takeout spot on West Ferry Street that is basically the South American hug we didn’t know we needed.

Owner Gabriela Ozan has been on a journey. The Argentine immigrant started out cooking empanadas for her friends, family, and coworkers. Once the word got out, she decided to move into the commissary kitchen at the Broadway Market. It didn’t take long for her to outgrow that space, and she recently opened her own spot on the West Side. Right now, it’s only open on Fridays and Saturdays, but we think that will change as Tangos grows.
