BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Brian Scott Lorenzo, the man who was found guilty again in his third trial for the killing of a young mother in Tonawanda in 1993, was sentenced to 37 1/2 years to life in prison, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Tuesday.
In April, a jury found that Lorenzo, 56, killed 33-year-old Deborah Meindl on Feb. 17, 1993, in her Franklin Street home. Meindl was found dead in her dining room by her 10-year-old daughter; the Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled that she was strangled.
Lorenzo and his former co-defendant, James Pugh, were previously convicted of the murder in 1994. Lorenzo was sentenced to 37 1/2 years to life in prison, and Pugh was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison; Pugh was released from prison in 2019…
