No discipline for no-show Buffalo cops

Video showed officers assigned to monitor surveillance cameras skipping shifts, leaving their posts and falsifying time sheets. None were disciplined.

Two years ago, eight Buffalo police officers assigned to monitor the department’s surveillance cameras frequently showed up for work late, disappeared for hours at a time, and left early.

Sometimes they didn’t show up at all.

They were caught dead to rights by the use of surveillance video, inside and outside the police headquarters building, that showed their comings and goings. Some admitted to punching in for one another. An Internal Affairs investigation determined all had falsified their time sheets and left their posts…
