POLICE AUDIO CAN BE FOUND AT THE END OF THIS ARTICLE: Law enforcement received a call around 9:02am on August 31st after reports of a home invasion on North Avenue in Niagara Falls.
The 911 caller and victim, an 81-year-old woman, told police that she heard screaming coming from her basement and went to inspect what it was. It was at that point she made contact with the intruder. He pointed a weapon at her (unknown if a knife, gun or something else) at which time she fled from him. The caller ran out of the house as fast as she could and hid in her vehicle, which is where she called police.
Police responded to the scene. The suspect was taken into custody. No further information is available at this time…
