POLICE AUDIO CAN BE FOUND AT THE END OF THIS ARTICLE: Law enforcement received a call around 12:21am on September 21st after reports of a hostage situation on Buffalo Avenue in Niagara Falls.
The 911 caller, a third-party, told dispatch that her sister contacted her and said she was being held hostage. The man holding her hostage, whose name was given to police, had a knife and was threatening to kill her if she tried to leave. He was described as being highly intoxicated.
Police responded to the scene. It is unknown whether the male was taken into custody and the female unharmed. No further information is available at this time…
