A pizzeria near Buffalo has once again been named among the 50 best in the world.
Jay’s Artisan Pizzeria, in the Buffalo suburb of Kenmore, was No. 32 in 50 Top Pizza’s global rankings this month. It’s the fifth straight year that Jay’s, which offers Neapolitan and Detroit-style pies, has landed on the list. Last year, it was 14th.
“There’s a lot of appreciation that comes with this recognition,” a post on the restaurant’s Instagram page reads. “For a small business like ours, being part of this list means so much – and we never take the opportunity, the community, or the support for granted. Thank you.”
Jay’s owner Joe Powers is just 27 years old. His shop is famous not just for its pizza but for its lack of phone ordering. Customers have to place their orders online, with Top 50 noting that “the efficiency is impeccable” despite the unusual rule…
