Yankee BBQ in Hamburg has closed for good. The news came through a simple voice message left on the restaurant’s phone line, confirming that the barbecue spot had shut its doors and thanking the community for its support.
The closure comes just a year after the restaurant relocated to a larger space. According to wbuf.com, the message said simply that they are closed for good, and they thanked everyone who supported them. Yankee BBQ had moved from a small location on Lake Shore Road in Hamburg to 4572 Clark Street, the former home of Raphael’s, in 2025.
The new Clark Street spot came with an upgrade that mattered to regulars: more room to park. As The New 96.1 reported at the time of the move, Yankee BBQ would now have a larger parking area for its guests than the old location. Just over a year later, that bigger footprint wasn’t enough to keep the doors open.
