Kenmore Mercy Hospital marks 75 years of serving WNY

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Kenmore Mercy Hospital marked its 75th anniversary on Wednesday, honoring decades of serving the Western New York community through healthcare.

The hospital was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1951. Hospital leaders said long-term physicians, associates and volunteers were recognized during Wednesday’s ceremony.

“I think it’s a special place, Kenmore Mercy Hospital,” hospital president Jeremy Essman said. “You see the longevity here; you walk the halls. When I do my rounds and meet with the staff, it’s not uncommon to see half that floor having about 30 years of experience on that floor. It’s just people; they come here, they love here, they love this community and love to give back.”…
