Dunkirk man charged with DWI following rollover crash

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 54-year-old Dunkirk man is facing a DWI charge among other charges after he struck a traffic pole and his vehicle rolled over Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

Michael Lemanski was found entrapped in a vehicle on its roof in the area of Central Avenue and East Green Street around 4:15 p.m. An investigation found that Lemanski had struck the traffic pole, causing a malfunction, and struck other private property before the vehicle rolled over.

The man was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries. He was charged with DWI, fourth-degree criminal mischief and several vehicle and traffic law violations and released on tickets.
