BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two people were taken to Erie County Medical Center Wednesday night following an alleged armed robbery that led to an officer-involved shooting at the 7-Eleven at Prospect Avenue and Connecticut Street, as well as an alleged carjacking, Buffalo Police said.
According to police, around 8:45 p.m. officers saw an alleged armed robbery in progress when the male suspect allegedly shot the store clerk and shot at officers as he fled the store; the officers had arrived at the store as customers. One officer shot back at the suspect, who allegedly carjacked a vehicle and drove several blocks before causing a multiple-vehicle car accident, police said.
