North Tonawanda man sentenced for 2021 killing

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A North Tonawanda man was sentenced to 16 years in prison for a killing in Buffalo in 2021, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Thursday.

Moteiff Wafer-Collins, 21, shot and killed 19-year-old Donovan Miller on the 100 block of Laird Avenue on Oct. 5, 2021. Wafer-Collins was 16 at the time of the killing.

Due to Wafer-Collins’ age at the time he was prosecuted as a minor. However, he was denied youthful offender adjudication. He pleaded guilty in February to one count of first-degree manslaughter…
