BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Kohler Pool in Tonawanda will receive $850,000 in federal aid to help with renovations, Rep. Tim Kennedy said Monday.
The renovations will be the first major fixes at the community pool, which has been open since the 1950s.
The lack of repairs done at the pool has been a topic of discussion for years. In recent years, the city under former Mayor John White launched a rally to save the pool, requesting federal funding for a complete overhaul of the pool.
