Cape Coral woman arrested for burglary and possession of stolen identification

CAPE CORAL, Florida — Regina M. McBride, a 40-year-old resident, has been arrested in connection with a residential burglary that occurred on June 16, 2026.

At approximately 10:15 a.m., officers from the Cape Coral Police Department responded to a report of a burglary in progress. Surveillance footage showed the suspect, identified as McBride, walking around the property with a bicycle and a backpack. Upon arrival, officers found McBride inside the screened patio area of the residence, near a rear sliding glass door with fresh pry marks. Tools consistent with forced entry were observed nearby.

The department’s Property Crimes Detectives took over the investigation and recovered multiple items commonly used in burglaries, including pry tools, bolt cutters, gloves, and zip ties.
