Gas thief on the loose in Fort Myers; deputies seek public’s assistance

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — The Lee County Sheriff’s Office needs your help to identify a car involved in a gasoline theft in Fort Myers.

In a Facebook post, LCSO said a Jeep Grand Cherokee was seen on June 6, around 10:30 p.m., and on Sunday, around 3:30 p.m., taking gasoline from business vehicles on Marshwood Lane.

The red Jeep is believed to have a brush guard mount on the front, black rims and damage to the front passenger door…
