Heat advisory issued Wednesday; More storms on the way

FORT MYERS, Fla.

Coming off record heat Tuesday, we’re in store for another scorcher of an afternoon Wednesday. Your Gulf Coast Weather Most Accurate Forecast says a heat advisory has been issued for the entire region again as feels-like temperatures will reach the triple digits.

Be sure to stay hydrated, wear lightweight clothing and consider limiting outdoor workouts. Highs will reach the mid 90s, though we’ll see slightly higher storm coverage today. Scattered storms will target coastal communities for the late afternoon and evening.

Rain chances will gradually increase through the rest of the week. By Sunday, drier air will briefly return to the region. Highs will remain in the mid-90s over the next week…
