ParrotPhest returns to Fort Myers Beach Oct. 1-4

Jimmy Buffett Day may be a year away, but the spirit of Margaritaville is strong as ever as ParrotPhest makes its return to Fort Myers Beach on Oct. 1. Bird Gardens of Naples will bring their parrots and the event benefits the Alzheimer’s Association.

Through Oct. 4, Parrotheads are invited to party with a purpose at the second annual ParrotPhest, hosted by Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach, The Villages Parrotheads and the Southwest Florida Parrot Head Club. Fittingly labeled “Trop Rock Weekend,” ParrotPhest will feature live music all weekend long, from high-energy tunes and acoustic beach classics to steel drums and feel-good island beats.

ParrotPhest will feature more than just music. On Friday and Saturday, Parrotheads are encouraged to make a difference by participating in a 50/50 raffle to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. Prizes include Parrothead club baskets and future Margaritaville brand stays. Raffle tickets are $5 each. Last year’s inaugural ParrotPhest raised $7,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association…
