National recognition for saving lives

Charlotte County Fire & EMS has been nationally recognized with the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline EMS Gold Achievement Award, department officials announced this week.

The award came for the department’s commitment to offering rapid, research-based care to people experiencing the most severe forms of heart attacks and strokes, ultimately helping save lives and improve patient outcomes across the community, the announcement states.
