Hot and humid Sunday with inland afternoon storms

FORT MYERS, Fla. — While we’ll fall short of heat advisory criteria, Sunday is shaping up to be another very hot and humid day. Your Gulf Coast Weather Most Accurate Forecast has high temperatures reaching the 90s this afternoon, but it’ll feel even hotter outside thanks to the humidity.

Feels like temperatures will exceed 100 degrees on Sunday, and some spots will peak over 105 degrees. Make sure you hydrate, take breaks in the shade or indoors, and wear light clothing to help stay safe in the heat.

Rain chances should be limited to our inland locations this afternoon, with the highest coverage expected for Hendry and Glades counties later today. Some of those storms could bring gusty winds, frequent lightning, and heavy rainfall.

This week will continue to be hot and humid with daily rain chances…
