‘Disappointed with the system’: Teen victim’s mother calls for accountability amid multi-county investigation of former EMT

INDIANAPOLIS — A former EMT now faces charges in two central Indiana counties, accused of sexually assaulting teen girls in his care.

Delaware County investigators say 37-year-old Ronald Elliott Jr. touched a young girl in the back of an ambulance while he was on duty in March, taking her to a hospital in Bloomington. He appeared before a judge for his initial hearing in that case Thursday morning in Muncie.

“I have lost my job due to these allegations,” Elliott said during the hearing.

“It was upsetting to hear him ask for a bond reduction and state why he felt like he deserved to have a bond,” the victim’s mother told FOX59/CBS4…
