TODAY: A storm or two could be strong, with the main threats being heavy rain and gusty winds. A level 1 risk of severe weather has been issued for most of the area today, with a level 2 risk in northeast Indiana. Any rain over the hardest-hit areas could lead to more flooding concerns today. Highs today will reach the mid 80s. With the humidity in the air, it could feel close to 100 in southern Indiana, where a heat advisory is in effect until 8 p.m. this evening.
SATURDAY EVENING: A few more storms will likely get going in northeast Indiana this evening. A few storms could be strong to severe, with damaging winds, heavy rain, and a low-end chance for a spin-up tornado being the main concerns. Lows in the lower 70s.
SUNDAY: Another wave of showers and isolated downpours are expected to move through the area during the morning tomorrow. Severe weather looks unlikely. It will turn warm and humid in the afternoon, with highs in the mid to upper 80s. Heat index values will likely be around or over 100…
