DNR: Indianapolis man pronounced dead after being found in Monroe Reservoir

INDIANAPOLIS — Conservation officers are investigating the death of an Indianapolis man in Monroe County.

According to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, the body of 58-year-old Jeffrey Cox was recovered on Sunday from Monroe Reservoir, located southeast of Bloomington.

This comes after officers were dispatched around 3:53 p.m. on Sunday to the area near Allen’s Creek. A report came through that an unconscious person had been pulled from the water.
