Meet Indiana’s oddest natural landmark
Just outside the small town of Shoals in southern Indiana, a stone tower rises straight out of the forest floor, standing completely alone with nothing attached to hold it up.
People call it Jug Rock, and it has stood there since long before dinosaurs walked the earth.
A short trail leads right to its base, and the countryside around it hides waterfalls, river bluffs, and one of the strangest small-town stories in the state.
