INDIANAPOLIS — A red panda at the Indianapolis Zoo was found dead on Friday.
According to the zoo, the Red panda named Randall was found by animal care staff as they were preparing to open the Forests exhibit for guests.
It is believed that his death was natural and peaceful, although it came unexpectedly, as he had recently had an annual exam that showed no signs of illness or distress.
Randall first showed up in Indianapolis in 2024; he died at age 12, which is older than most red pandas normally live in the wild, according to the zoo. He shared his exhibit space with female Maiya, who remains at the zoo…
