INDIANAPOLIS — New footage released on social media appears to show Dalys Jett, the 21-year-old shot and killed by Indianapolis police after allegedly shooting at officers, running away before gunshots ring out. Another video shows him fall to the ground in a backyard.

Jett was shot and killed last month on the city’s east side after at least three IMPD officers fired their weapons at him. Two officers were also shot and injured in the exchange of gunfire.
IMPD has since confirmed that one of the two injured officers was struck by friendly fire, but says that the other injured officer was hit by bullets fired from Jett’s gun. No evidence showing Jett firing a gun has been released as of this article’s publication.
Now, a video released on social media appears to show Jett running away before the shooting. The video, which was released by an advocate for Jett’s family, does not show the 21-year-old firing a weapon, but also does not show any encounter between Jett and police…
