INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man was convicted Thursday of murdering his girlfriend on the city’s near east side back in 2020.
On April 23, a jury found Rakeem Thompson guilty of killing his girlfriend, 31-year-old Brittany Burns, following a three-day trial.
Around 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 9, 2020, IMPD officers were called to the 2500 block of English Avenue, near Southeastern Avenue and South Rural Street, on a report of an unresponsive woman.
