Man sentenced to federal prison following fatal overdose of Indianapolis woman

INDIANAPOLIS — A man has been sentenced after he pleaded guilty to supplying drugs that led to a fatal overdose of an Indianapolis woman.

According to a news release from the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, 27-year-old Arieon Lofton pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to distribute controlled substances.

After the guilty plea, Lofton was sentenced to 16 years and two months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release, the release said.
