INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WANE) The date of June 29, 2026 will hold special significance for 20 people who bought Powerball tickets for that day’s drawing. That’s because 14 tickets sold are worth $1 million and another five tickets are worth $2 million. The overall jackpot of $143.4 million will be split between the holder of a ticket bought in LaPorte, Indiana and another person who purchased a ticket in Kansas.
So far only one of the winners has come forward. On Thursday, April 30, hours after learning she won $2 million, retiree Jean Mayes of Crawfordsville, was in the Hoosier Lottery Prize Payment Office in downtown Indianapolis with her two sons claiming her prize.
The ticket holder of the jackpot winning ticket may claim the $71.7 million prize as early as May 14.
