INDIANAPOLIS — Heavy rain Monday and in the forecast again for Tuesday means one thing for a Franklin Township family: their backyard will flood.
“Did not purchase a lakefront, pond view,” said homeowner Tyler Halcomb. “Maybe we could just get out there and start fishing or something, but that wasn’t a koi pond and that wasn’t the intention of being here.”
Halcomb and his family moved into their home at the beginning of 2025, but they lived in the neighborhood for five years before that. Their previous home didn’t have a flooding issue.
