As teens seek summer jobs, finding roles becomes more challenging: ‘Hard work of life’

As temperatures continue to heat up, crowds only grow at FRESH Local Ice Cream on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh.

“Around February, March is when we surprisingly get a lot of applications because I think they anticipate a seasonal business like ours to ramp up,” Jason Hillman said.
