As Triangle residents commemorate the end of slavery in the United States on Friday, June 19, local banks, post offices, libraries and government offices will be closed. But you may be in luck if you want to get fresh air or grab groceries, as many Raleigh-area parks and supermarkets plan to be open.

Bank and post office closings
On Juneteenth, the U.S. Postal Service will close all of its post offices nationwide and won’t deliver mail. But shipping services FedEx and UPS plan to operate on the holiday, and you can look up store hours on their websites…
