Wake woman charged with forgery, fraud in check scheme

RALEIGH — North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey announced Monday, June 22, the arrest of a Raleigh woman on felony fraud charges stemming from an alleged scheme involving an altered insurance check.

Monique Valdese Spry, 35, of Saint Albans Drive, was charged with common law forgery, obtaining property by false pretense and uttering a forged instrument.
