Trackwork is affecting Amtrak service in North Carolina beginning today (Aug. 3) and in New England starting Thursday, Aug. 6.
Today through Thursday, and again Aug. 24-27, Piedmont and Carolinian operations will be affected between Greensboro and Raleigh, N.C. On those dates, Piedmont train No. 72 will terminate at Greensboro, while trains 73 and 75 will originate in Greensboro. Bus service will be provided between Greensboro and Raleigh.
Also, trains 73-74 and 76-78 will operate 22 to 70 minutes later than usual over some portions of their routes. Full details are available here…
