VARINA, NC — A school bus driver was cited after a Wednesday morning crash sent the bus into J&S New York Pizza at Varina Station. Town officials said the bus first hit a box truck before slamming into the restaurant around 7:30 a.m.
Three people were injured in the collision, though all have since been released from the hospital. Wake County Schools said the driver’s two children were on the bus at the time and were not hurt.
