‘Shockingly vile’: Wake County woman arrested after dog skeletons found, kittens starving: Officials

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A woman was arrested in Wake County on several animal cruelty charges Friday after skeletons of dogs and starving kittens were discovered in a “shockingly vile” home, according to deputies and a magistrate.

The arrest happened at a house on Pendleton Lake Road north of Raleigh, off Possum Track Road just past Six Forks Road, according to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office and a Wake County magistrate.

Deputies found “shocking conditions” with two unidentifiable skeletonized dogs in crates in a basement and the skeleton of a third dog, identified as a Yorkie, also in a crate, a magistrate wrote, and a sheriff’s office deputy said in an arrest warrant…
