Watkins has gone from experiencing homelessness to earning a PhD in Healthcare Administration from Walden University.
Reflecting on his personal journey, Dr. Watkins said, “We don’t know when our change will come, especially when we’re trying to escape something as devastating as homelessness. We have to see it through. We can’t just give up. We can’t throw our hands up.”
